Council Consultation Picks Clear Winner

The recent barefoot consultation, probably the best consultation the Council has ever done, has collected the views of Twickenham on what should be done along the Twickenham Waterfront. The official report was overwhelmingly in support for the plan below:

Environment Agency re-establishes RUG Tidal.

The River Thames in London and the South East receives a huge boost from the Environment Agency as it recognises the River User Group Tidal to have an independent forum to assist the development and protection of the Tidal Thames.

This completes the River User Groups coverage of the Thames from source to Sea and will provide an invaluable vehicle to meet the aims of the The London Plan, South East Plan, Water Framework Directive, Marine Bill and Local Development Frameworks.
